For special occasions, the Pueblo people made their garments out of deerskin, but they called deerskin "puttee". In te 1900`s the Pueblo women started wearing different garments, that they called "shifts". The Pueblo women wore "mantas", a type of dress, while the men wore a short skirt nown as a skilt.
